My year has been especially busy with the Iraq Inquiry, but I do remain in contact with the Old Brightonians office, and I am always delighted to hear all the news - this year has seen the revival of the Pioneers Club for our OBs over 60s which has been a great success, and I truly look forward to a time when I will be able to join in with future events. Our younger members have been busy too, the OB Netball team successfully took on the College this year, as did the OB Cricket team, and the Golf Society played the school team as well as various other tournaments. 2012 will see the OB Rugby team taking on masters and pupils from the College at Rosslyn Park, and it promises to be a splendid occasion. Various professional networks have also been initiated, giving opportunities to all Old Brightonians to swap business advice and acumen, so vital in these challenging times. As we enter the 130th year of the Old Brightonians the fellowship of our community is clearly something to celebrate and I would like to urge you all to come to the various events planned for 2012 and if you have suggestions for further events or reunions, need help to contact old friends, or just wish to share your news, please do contact Rebecca Findlay at the OB office. The Old Brightonians is run on our behalf, and the success of the network is dependent upon us, its members.

All warm good wishes to all Old Brightonians, a very merry Christmas and a happy New year to all of us, after such a wonderful year for Brighton College.
