Central to the evening will be the unveiling of plans for a new sports pavilion at New Ground. Previous plans for a pavilion in 2005 did not come to fruition due to lack of funds, but since then we have been working on an alternative proposal which will meet some of the aims of the original scheme but on a rather smaller scale. David Morley Architects have produced some very exciting, yet practical, designs. The project has the whole-hearted support of the College governors, who have committed a large proportion of the anticipated costs.
As well as providing a pre and post match venue, the pavilion would be available to the whole college community, including Old Brightonians.The presentation evening will begin at 6.00pm in the Café de Paris. Drinks and canapés will be followed by a presentation and the opportunity to ask questions about the proposals.
