Andrew Cayley CMG QC FRSA, Old Brightonian and College Governor completed his statutory term as Director Service Prosecutions, the United Kingdom's Chief Military Prosecutor, on 2 November 2020. On 19 January 2021 the Attorney General, the Rt. Hon. Suella Braverman QC MP appointed Andrew as Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of the Crown Prosecution Service Inspectorate (HMCPSI). Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector is a public appointment leading the HMCPSI, which has a statutory duty to inspect the operation of the Crown Prosecution Service and the Serious Fraud Office. The purpose of the inspectorate is to drive improvements and build public confidence in the national prosecution services.
