Berniya began learning the piano aged 7. At 12 she joined the Royal College of Music Junior Department on a Wolfson Foundation scholarship, where she won a number of prizes under the tutelage of Ian Jones and Konstantin Lapshin. This talented young musician is also learning the cello as a joint principal study at the RCMJD.
