She will be in post for one year and awarded to experts in the field of clinical neuroscience (neurology, neurosurgery, neuropathology or neurophysiology).

Bridget studied at Guy’s Hospital Medical School after leaving the College, before working in Brighton and Brussels, before returning to the UK to specialise in neurology and has worked at Croydon Hospital as a Consultant in neurology for the past 20 years, with a particular specialism in epilepsy. She is also a clinical trainer and says she thinks she has trained enough people to staff a whole hospital!

She is also active in the Association of Medical Humanities, which, she says, is intellectually stimulating, in a way that is different from her day job.

Congratulations on your appointment, Bridget!
