First up was Chichester, with their child friendly cup holder, the Sprong. A very professional presentation complemented their thorough business plan and detailed how their idea had evolved following extensive market research. Fenwick presented Lilypod, a floating Bluetooth device for the bath, accompanying their pitch with some highly professional designs on some equally impressive slides. A true innovation by Hampden, the Upick, identified a gap in the market for a magnetic guitar pick as a solution to all those lost picks. Head's were next to the stage as brokers for services to business, fielding some tough questions, before giving way to Leconfield's coffee-to-order app targeted at busy commuters.
Last up were Seldon who had spotted a gap for an affiliate website for suits targeted at 16-25 year old females. Although the judges recognised merit in all six ideas, they were unanimous in choosing Chichester, Fenwick and Hampden to win the prize money of £10,000.
Many thanks to all of the Old Brightonians who acted as mentors, judges and guest speakers at the various Entrepreneur events, and of course to those who are now continuing to guide the winning pupils as they attempt to realise their business plans.
