Their own performance of Viadana's Exultate justi was very stylish and spirited, quite a match for the more experienced choirs. With so many singers in the larger works, precision and confidence were essential and the younger performers were certainly up to it. These multi-choir works were magnificently supported by His Magestys Sagbutts and Cornetts (sic), the very best early music band around. I do hope that the young musicians fully appreciate the exceptional quality of the whole performance.

It's more than forty years since I was taught that Viadana motet by Jack Hindmarsh, when the College choir was much smaller though perhaps no less accomplished, and the training and joyful experiences have lived with me ever since, so cheers to Sandy Chenery for giving today's young choir such excellent opportunities and skills; they'll certainly be singing his praises in years to come.
