Paul writes: "Having avoided the college since I left in 1958 I had a most wonderfully exciting and heartwarming evening there yesterday. The College Autumn concert was incredibly varied and vibrant and the level of musicianship was stratospheric - if only it had been like that in my day. The strings of the Chamber Orchestra played my "Rosa Mundi" with great feeling and I was made very welcome by one and all. Ghosts were exorcised and I now look forward to an ongoing association with this wonderful school."

It was wonderful to watch how his words affected the pupils, who played the piece with much greater feeling after his input, and he gave them some wonderful technical tips about his style of writing, which they thoroughly enjoyed.
