Held at the prestigious Royal Automobile Club, the team got off to a fighting start with a 3-0 win from captain Madeleine who demonstrated the tenacity and determination so often evident during her sports fixtures at Brighton College. The rest of the team played with real spirit and with the final score at 4-1 Madeleine proudly collected the 2012 Varsity Squash Trophy from 5 times world champion, Jonah Barrington. Already on top of the world, she had to return to centre stage as two minutes later she was awarded Oxford Women's Player of the Match.
