Many of you may know parents, colleagues, or friends who have a spare room that they can offer to give support to local destitute migrants, so if you could make them aware of this way of supporting those less fortunate, both Father Robert and I would be grateful. The meeting is next Thursday evening.
Some of the asylum sekers currently living in Brighton and Hove have no recourse to public funds and become destitute migrants. They are in urgent need of help to meet their basic needs. Please come to the event to find out more about the reasons why people become desitute migrants, support currently provided and why we are starting a ‘spare room initiative’ to help provide housing for destiute migrants in our town.
