My wife, Kathleen Reilly-Pearlberg was also featured in the camp. Kathleen received tremendous notoriety when she starred in MTV's original reality TV show "Made" in 2003. It became the highest TV show in MTV history. The premise of the show was to make the dreams of a Manasquan (alma mater of Jack Nicholson) high school senior come true. Diana, the young high schooler was an overweight drama major and desperately wanted to make the varsity football cheerleading squad. MTV hired Kathleen to train her and get her into shape. In addition they hired a professional cheerleading coach and filmed the show over the course of the summer, literally sparing no expense. Diana came from a very difficult background, losing both of her parents within six months of each other when she was twelve. A large part of the success of the show was that she was so easy to root for, in addition to Kathleen's screen presence and drill sergeant like personality along with a Richard Simmonds like Cheerleading coach.

My book, Run Tall, Run Easy, The Ultimate Guide to Better Running Mechanics is about to be launched in spiral bind for its second edition and will be turned into a full length DVD in September of 2006. Casting for young runners to be featured in the DVD will begin this summer.

My first DVD, a sports psychology tool, Training & Racing in Pursuit of Success, Not Fear of Failure was produced in September of 2005.

Our two children, Luke and Sam are six years old and eighteen months respectively. Luke is in Kindergarten. Sam is an amazing young boy, born with only half a right arm to the elbow. Having the disability from birth has enabled him to be incredibly resourceful, adaptive and creative. There is nothing that he cannot do. He is extrmely strong of mind and body, much like his good old Mum!

I love to receive my copy of the Pelican news and am very proud of the amazing development, progress and accomplishments of Brighton College. It has clearly grown into one of the premiere school institutions in the country.

Perhaps in the next year or two, when my family and I come for a visit I can coincide it with a lecture to the school track and field team. That would be great.

With all best wishes, and a very happy New Year!
