Starting with bacon butties overlooking the beautiful course, the five teams went on to play 18 holes on Singing Hills’ two most challenging courses in what turned out to be a close competition. Prizes were given to ‘The Longest Drive,’ ‘Closest to the Pin’, ‘Best Individual Score’ and ‘Best Team Score.’ After a long day in the sun, the delicious three-course meal made the perfect end to the day, with several spectacular raffle prizes won as part of the evening’s proceedings. The day was a success, with over £600 being raised for the Diamond Jubilee Pavilion. Due to the enthusiasm of those who attended, we are now hoping to make this an annual event, making it bigger and better for next year. We are very grateful to all those that attended, the generous donations of raffle prizes, but most importantly to Mike and Kim Willis, who together organised a fantastic and memorable day.
