The January wind and the rain of Brighton seemed a far cry from the fabulous resorts and tales of snakes and banyan trees, and the pupils were quite transported as John showed some wonderful photographs of the various Karma Resorts.
He finished by sharing the lessons he had learned throughout his career:
- Make mistakes.
- Be first, be fast or be food.
- It's more fun being a pirate than being in the Navy.
And fittingly finished in a flurry of encouragement, exhorting pupils with Horace's words carpe diem (seize the day).
Many thanks to John for taking the time out of his internationally busy schedule to come into the College. Leconfield were particularly pleased to welcome him back!
