Julian has been Housemaster to over ten years' worth of Hampden boys, all of whom have benefited from his high standards and expectations, his cultured and civilised approach and the time he has dedicated to their development as young men. He is held in such very high regard and it is fitting that his skills and attributes will now be shared with, and enjoyed by, the wider audience of an entire Prep School.

Although St Christopher's is part of the family of Brighton College Schools, Julian, an Old Brightonian himself, will find moving across there to be bittersweet. I know that he will, in particular, miss the boys of Hampden, even as he will be preparing younger boys at his new school for a future at the College, several of whom will doubtless join his old House.

I know you will join me in congratulating Julian on his move, even as we are all very sorry to learn of his leaving, and we will fĂȘte his departure appropriately next term. We also wish every happiness to Alison, Georgina and Oliver.
