- When you were at Brighton College, what did you want to be when you ‘grew-up’?
I wanted to be a Doctor.
- What are you now you've grown up?
I’m a Detective Constable with the London Metropolitan Police.
- What is your best memory of school?
I remember always having the best time with the other Chichester girls in our study (when I wasn’t in Miss Cody’s office for doing some misdemeanour).
- What was the best piece of advice you were given?
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.
- What do you do/did you do as a career?
I studied Pharmacology at UCL, and then went on to be a Chemistry teacher and Head of Year in Hackney for 8 years. I’ve recently left teaching to join the police.
- What does/did your job involve?
Trying to be a blend of Sherlock Holmes and Luther whilst drowning in paperwork - which they never seemed to have to do.
- What are the most challenging parts of your job?
Dealing with confrontation and aggressive people, whilst trying to keep a cool head and be safe.
- What have you done that you are most proud of?
Having the confidence to change career after becoming well established in my previous role.
- What is the single thing that would most improve the quality of your life?
If public sector workers were paid their worth.
- What are the three objects you would take with you to a desert island?
My french bulldogs, my phone and a never ending supply of Pinot Grigio.
- How would you like to be remembered?
Being naughty but nice, and always up for a laugh.
