Malcolm died on 12th December 2023. He lived in Hove and Hastings whilst at the college and went to St Christopher's Junior School before attending Brighton College.
He loved cricket and though he never made the schools sides he spent many happy hours at the County Ground watching Sussex in the 1950's.
After National Service he went to work for BP in the city for many years, spending time in Paris and The Netherlands for 4 years in addition to travelling extensively with the company until he took early retirement, only to rejoin the company for several years working as a claims expert with considerable negotiating skills.
With his colleague Ray Dunkley, he wrote a technical tome 'Demurrage in the Oil Industry' which was used by the company for many years.
After leaving college he played cricket for a local side, Brighton Cryptics, along with a number of Old Brightonians and enjoyed 30 years with the club including touring in the West Country for 20 years.
He is survived by his second wife Cathy, his two daughters by his first wife Pat, who died in the 1990's and eleven grandchildren.
