After helping his team, Harlequins, to victory in the rugby union Premiership at the very start of the month, Marcus made his full England debut against the USA, contributing 13 points to their 29-43 victory over the Eagles.
Less than a week later, he was called up to be a part of the British and Irish Lions squad on tour in South Africa and made his debut in Cape Town as starter number 10 against the DHL Stormers. That game was won convincingly, 43-7, with Marcus successfully converting all 7 Lions tries.
