Bob Lassam (D. 1955-59) took early retirement from the Civil Service in 1995. He has been choral singing regularly since leaving school as well as taking on occasional light opera roles. He has also been active in church life in south east London for many years as churchwarden, chorister and in various diocesan and deanery posts.
John Bridger (A. 1966-71) took voluntary redundancy from Barclays Bank in 1996. Having obtained certification for Novell and Microsoft networking product, he is currently employed at the University of Brighton and studying for Cisco networking certification to help in his search for a new job. He remarried 10 years ago (his brother-in-law is Mervyn Davies, A. 1966-71) and he and his wife are hoping to adopt two children in the near future. Gerard Pearlberg (S. 1976-80) moved to Santa Cruz in 1988. He married Kathy in April and they are expecting their first child in January 2000. Gerard is a certified USA Track & Field Coach and he and his wife own an athletic & conditioning company called 'Great Performance'. He is a professional runner with Mizuno USA and is currently the Nike World Masters Champion at the 1500 metre distance in the 35-39 year age group and the 1998 Road Runners Club of America National Marathon Championship Bronze Medallist. Paul Clarke (R. 1989-94) has graduated from Maine Maritime Academy with a Bachelors of Science in Nautical Science & a 3rd Mates Unlimited Tonnage Merchant Mariners Licence. He also received the distinguished Midshipman Graduate Award from the US Secretary of the Navy. He is commissioned in the US Navy and has attended Surface Warfare Officer School & Damage Control Officer School completing both as a distinguished graduate. Jonathan Beynon (D. 1978-83) is currently back in the UK having spent much of the last 10 years in various parts of Southern Africa. He now works as an Economist for the Department for International Development, lives near Oxford, and is married with two boys, aged 5 & 7.
