Amongst other cricketing stars including Jofra Archer and Ross Taylor, members of the OB community Matt Prior (Ry. 1995-2000) and Laura Marsh (Fe. 2000-05) took the time to offer some useful tips for pupils training at home in what would have been their cricketing season at school.

Both Matt and Laura offered some brilliant ideas for at-home training drills, and encouraged pupils to make the most of their time at home by honing in on some key skills to perfect their technique.

Laura’s top tip was to ‘get stuck in, have a go and hopefully we’ll be back outside playing the game we love before we know it’.

For Matt, getting through the lockdown experience has been a feat of positive and proactive thinking. He instructed pupils to “see this as a new challenge, and an opportunity. An opportunity to better yourself in any way that may be”.

We’re incredibly proud to have such supportive members of our OB community helping current pupils get through this challenging time, and would like to thank all involved for making such a positive contribution to pupil wellbeing.
