A backlog of fixtures means that both this season fixtures between the OBs and Battle will be played back to back in a double header on the final deay of the season.
Unfortunately the OBs wil be relying on 3rd paced Millhouse Reserves to help them out, due to Battle's far superior goal difference. Should Millhouse beat battle this weekend then the OBs need to win both games against Battle to snatch the title.
Should Battle win, then they have virtually got it in the bag, as even if we beat Battle in both our remaining games, we would have to overturn a 15 goal differential to claim the league. However, if they fail to beat Millhouse, then 2 wins for us would give us the title.
Whatever happens and however it pans out I think we can all be proud of this season's performance. After such a morale sapping campaign last year, its shown good character to come back and push all season long for honours in both the league and the cup.
The strength of our squad has really shown, as I think we have fielded strong teams in every fixture, despite having had 5-6 absentees from the first team in certain weeks.
Well done everyone, there may yet be league winners medals all round come the end of March!
