The group of 12 Old Brightonians - ranging in age from 28 to 87 - enjoyed a fulfilling afternoon at their alma mater. After a satisfying lunch in the Head Master's Dining Room, the 1845 Society undertook a tour of the new Richard Cairns Building, marvelling at its design and reminiscing about the site's history.

The 1845 Society is comprised of Old Brightonians who choose to remember Brighton College in their wills. Events are open to all OBs who are interested in learning more about donating to the College in different ways.

This year's lunch was a particularly pertinent time to ponder ideas of legacy and memory, falling as it did on the 80th anniversary of D-Day - a theme reflected upon by Jennifer Deane, Deputy Director of Development and Engagement, in her opening speech to this year's participants.
