Indeed, two Old Brightonians met in opposition on the football pitch on Sunday 25 March, when both took part in the annual Cambridge v Oxford Universities Varsity Football Game. Rufus Saunders (Le. 2009-16), a second year Land Economy student at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, and Jack Witt (BCPS/Du. 2008-15), studying Economics and Management at Hertford College, Oxford last played together as Sixth Formers for Brighton College 1st XI.
Although they were rivals on the pitch on Sunday they found time for this photo and a chat after the game, which ended in a 3-0 win for Oxford. Both players will be eligible for Full Blues, the highest sporting honours that both Universities can confer. It caps a hugely successful season for the Football Club, with the 1st XI winning the Molten SKIL league and the South East England U18 Futsal earlier this year.
