Rupert was at Brighton College from 1985-1990, and was a proud member of Durnford house. During his time time at school he particularly enjoyed playing rugby and sailing. He was incredibly sociable and fun, with a great ability to make friends wherever he went.

After Brighton College, he went to university to study Recreational Management in Plymouth, which included a year studying in Purdue University in Indiana. Throughout his life, he travelled widely, including a special trip with some friends from Durnford interailing across Europe, featuring a stop in Berlin during the fall of the Berlin Wall.

He spent much of his life in Brighton. He became an uncle to 6 nieces and nephews - a role he excelled at by sharing his adventurous spirit and love of the outdoors.

He maintained great friendships with his group of old school friends, whom would often meet up for weekends away in the country side. They recall a great trip to Wales after the Covid lockdown, where they were able to relive their glory years from school.

We will remember Rupert for his joyful and adventurous spirit.
