Looking at recent events in British politics, this piece of new writing considers: can we really make change? Following the story of recently elected MP Jessica Wiles who, coming from a background in grassroots activism, enters parliament for the first time and begins to question her ability to make change under this political system. Using physical theatre, spoken word and multimedia, The Surge examines the power of protest and whether individuals can make a difference.

Before heading to The Fringe, they are performing at Brighton College on Thursday 9 June and Friday 10 June at 7.30 at Montague. The piece lasts one hour. If you want to see a piece of political physical theatre, tickets can be bought via this link.

If you can't make it but would like to help get the project to Edinburgh and feel able to donate ?10, they also have a crowdfunding page and the link is below:-

It's an incredibly expensive exercise getting a play to Edinburgh and every penny helps!

The King's Players thank you for your support and are very grateful to Brighton College for their support in providing Montague as a performance space.
