This was the King’s first visit to Sandhurst since becoming monarch last September, and marked an important moment in the history of RMAS.
Since his promotion to Commandant last September, Stenning has been noted for his leadership, leading culture change across the Army through the transformation programme at the Academy. He said of these changes:
“I am resetting the culture and transforming the training at Sandhurst to deliver the highest quality leaders who can fight and win wars on the Land. Sandhurst will be an inclusive, empowered and learning organisation, staffed by outstanding role models who exemplify the British Army’s Values and Standards.”
