As you may know, Le Café Anglais is on the many successful ventures by Old Brightonian Neville Abraham (B. 1950-55), and the chef proprietor, Rowley Leigh, is one of the founding fathers of modern British cooking. Le Café Anglais has had many fine reviews, and is a wonderful example of art deco design with sumptuous interiors.
"A long lunch at Le Cafe Anglais is a reminder of how good a cook Rowley Leigh is. Tucked into one of the restaurant's booths, beneath the twinkle of chandeliers..." Jay Rayner - The London Magazine
We have organised a seasonal three course menu with a glass of wine, and coffee to follow and we will be meeting at the restaurant at 12noon with a view to being seated by 12.30. Pre-luncheon drinks will be served on arrival, so do arrive in plenty to time to mingle and catch up with old friends. If you would like to attend please let me know on ob@oldbightonians.com or call me on 01273 704 250. The cost of the luncheon is £48, and there are a variety of ways to pay for your convenience (listed below). Please do RSVP by 19th November, so that we can confirm our numbers with the restaurant.
